Using Search

Beast Core 6 has a powerful Search application with functionality that is logical and easy to use.
Using Search
In the left-hand navigation pane:
Click on Search to open the Search pane.
Select Documents or Components, depending on which you’d like to search.
Continue entering your search parameters, adding additional queries to your search to further refine your results.
Note
You can click the Clear Search button at any time to restart your query.
Click the Search button to generate your results.
Click the blue pencil icon to edit your current search query or begin a new one.
View Details
Click the three dots at the top right-hand corner of your search results to view additional details.
Click the View Details option in the small pop-up menu to open the:
Details pane (on the left-hand side of your screen)
Left click on any item to copy it to your clipboard for pasting elsewhere
More Info pane (on your main screen)
Shows MetaData associated with a searched component
Note
Right click anywhere in the MetaData section to view the Component menu.
Zoom to a Component
Follow the steps outlined below to Zoom to your searched component:
Open the More Info pane.
Right click anywhere in MetaData section to open a dropdown menu.
Select Zoom To Component to view your searched component in the 3D Model.
Zoom to a Connection
Follow the steps outlined below to view a specific connection of a searched component:
If the left-hand Details pane is not open, click the three dots at the top right-hand corner of your search results.
Select View Details in the small pop-up menu to open the Details pane
Select the Connections icon at the bottom of the Details pane.
Click the three dots beside the connection you’d like to view. (This opens a dropdown menu.)
Choose Zoom To Component to zoom directly to the selected connection.
