# Details Pane Connections Tab

To view other components that directly connect to a selected component in Beast Core 6, left click the Connections (three connected shapes) icon at the top of the Details Pane.

## Locate and View Component Connections

> Select a component in another Beast Core plugin *prior to* accessing the Details Pane.

1. The Details Pane initially opens on the (default) **Information** ![](https://cdn.document360.io/820c65d9-cf4e-4289-9237-5bc834b3bd3e/Images/Documentation/image-PYCH60HF.png) tab.
2. Select the **Connections** tab ![](https://cdn.document360.io/820c65d9-cf4e-4289-9237-5bc834b3bd3e/Images/Documentation/image-6ZHGTV49.png) icon.
3. View a list of Components with *direct* Connections to your selected component.

  - The IN, OUT, (or BOTH) designator to the right of a listed connection:
    - Describes the relationship of that connection to your selected component
    - Indicates the direction of how flow is carried through that connection
4. Left click the **Ellipsis** ![](https://cdn.document360.io/820c65d9-cf4e-4289-9237-5bc834b3bd3e/Images/Documentation/image-ZHRIXY2T.png) on the right side of a listed connection to access that component’s **Action** **Menu**.

A specific and defined piece of equipment or part within a system or a space.

Displays relationships between components and identifies their connections as either incoming or outgoing.
