Article summary

Use a Decision (Interface) course card in Beast Core 4 Courseware Editor when you want a learner to select a specific button or switch on an interface in the Interface Viewer environment. The learner must click the desired button or switch on the Interface to perform the associated Flag operation.

Interface Decision Card Editing

  1. Use the dropdown menu in the first text box to change the Decision Session type to Interface.

  2. When the No Interface text box appears, use the dropdown menu to select the desired interface.

    Prerequisite

    You must have at least one Interface file in your course Resources tab for Interface option(s) to appear in this menu.

  1. Enter a message for the learner in the Prompt text box.

    • This Prompt displays on the learner’s screen

  2. When the image of the Interface appears in the lower section of the Card:

    • Use the Actual Size or Fit to Screen buttons to adjust the display view of the Interface

    • Use the eyedropper icon to select the switch or button the learner must select on the Interface

      • This action will automatically populate the name of the selected switch or button in the Display Text box

  3. Populate the three Response text boxes in the middle of the card:

    • In the Select box, use the dropdown menu to select the associated Flag name

    • Leave the = sign in the middle box

    • Use the up arrow to enter the value 2 (complete) in the final text box

    • Click Add Flag

      • This action automatically populates the Flag condition in the Flags section

  1. Environment (Interface Viewer)

  2. Display Interface (select from available Interfaces in the Resources tab)

  3. Decision (Interface)

  4. Interface Action
