Show Layer Animation Tool
This tool allows you to use created layers to provide a slide show of each layer, beginning at the bottom layer and moving to the top layer.
Example Use Case
A customer wants to see an animated one-year timeline of a proposed build sequence.
Create 12 layers named for each month of the year.
Beginning with the layer named for the first month of the build, load the models of what will be built that month.
Repeat Step 2 for the 11 successive month layer names.
For each month’s layer, use the colorization feature in the Layer Management window to set the models of all completed work to display in green (or another desired color), and to set the models of all in-progress work for that month to display in a different static color.
Add a final layer named Finished that shows all models in green (or the desired color designated completed work).
Arrange the loaded layers so that the first month of the build is the bottom layer and the Finished layer is the top layer in the Layer Management window.
During the animation tool presentation, the presenter can pause the animation on any month’s layer. Based on how the models are colorized, the customer can easily identify how much of the build should be completed by that month.
Ensure you have already created the layers you want to include in the slide show animation.
Left click the
menu tab in the upper left corner of the screen, then left click the Show Layer Animation Tool.
In the Layer Animation Tool pop-up window, click and drag the top two sliders to set the:
Animation speed - Amount of time between frames (measured in seconds)
Number of loaded layers per frame

Use the buttons provided in the Layer Animation Tool window (shown above) to view a configured layer animation:
Start Animation - Play button
Stop Animation - Pause or stop button
Reset Animation - Restart button
Step Forward - Moves to the next slide in the animation
Step Backwards - Moves back one slide
