View Details Pane alongside Search

Open the Details Pane plugin alongside the Search plugin in Beast Core 6 to gather additional information about your searched component(s).

Search for a Desired Component

1. Click the (far-left) magnifying glass icon to access Search.

   • Or, select Search in the left-hand navigation pane’s Application section

     

2. On the default Components tab, enter a keyword into the Search textbox.

3. If needed, conduct additional keyword searches until your desired Component appears in the search results table.

Open the Details Pane

Use either of these options to open the Details Pane alongside Search:

1. Click the Ellipsis icon next to your desired component in the search results table.

   • Select Show Component Details on the pop-up Action Menu

     

2. Open the drop-down menu in the left-hand content pane.

   • Select Details Pane

     

Navigate the Details Pane

Click the icons near the top of the Details Pane to view additional details about your selected component.

Interactive Details Pane & Component Search Results Feature

Use this interactive shortcut when you want to view data for multiple searched components.

1. In the Search plugin, perform a Components search that yields more than one search result.

2. Open the Details Pane in the left-hand content pane by either:

   • Selecting Details Pane in the content pane’s drop-down menu in the upper left corner

     

   • Or left clicking the Ellipsis icon in a search result’s table row, then selecting Show Component Details on the pop-up Action Menu

     

3. Left click anywhere within a search results table row.

4. Each click in a new table row dynamically updates the component metadata on the Details Pane → Information tab in real time.
